When my couples come to me for their wedding cake, they give me a rough idea of what they envision their big day will look like. They try my cake tasting boxes or (pre-Covid times) come over to our home for a glass of champagne or tea, coffee etc and sample yummy cake flavours and get acquainted with me, see examples of my work, I get to know them and understand their requirement better. Often they leave with more cake to take back to their close family to make sure they’re making the right choices with their flavours for the big day. They share their Pinterest boards with me, every aspect of their decor, colours, flowers are discussed in detail and then I begin working on creating a cake design that fits into the setting as perfectly as possible.
Wedding cakes are the last piece of the puzzle, the last thing to be made for the big day and I think a certain amount of flexibility in what the end result will look like is definitely needed.
When you hire a cake designer, you pay for their expertise, their skill set that they’ve spent years perfecting. You pay for a stress free interaction and a thoroughly professional service. There’s a lot that goes into making the perfect wedding day come together, the team you choose makes all the difference 😊
